Some strange sights along the way - wildlife nightmare in Kota Bharu

Flies' orgy in Alor Setar's Al-Bukhary mall

No seriously...

Strange make-up of a rest-stop toilet along the West Coast - East Coast highway

Imagine my horror when i saw this sign at the entrance:
It says "30sen per entry. Please remove your shoes and use the slippers provided"
There were no slippers in sight and the floor was absolutely filthy (not to mention the stench!
Turns out that only applies if you were taking a shower - thankfully i had not removed my shoes.

A tap in a man-made pond

Check out the TESCO lookalike - down to the font and colours

There were chairs outside these shoplots for passerby to sit! Imagine in KL, they'd give you a piece of their mind for loitering outside their shops - bad for business they'd say.

Turns out the folks at Kota Bharu were not only into turtle eggs. Here are a few examples...

Medicinal ointments from deer head and bones at Kota Bharu market

Other parts of the deer

We thought this was cute...

Until we went closer...

and...

discovered...

it was a wildlife nightmare!

Kota Bharu, Kelantan - definitely not for the faint hearted.
